Awaken by the morning sounds Two legs is all see Feet walking upon this solid ground Her treat is such a breeze She scratches her nails behind my ear Those hands I do not fear And when she calls me pretty girl I feel like momma's little Southern Belle But when those legs walk out the door It's when my eyes fill up with tears I wait upon the comfy couch For her to reappear I pray the Lord to bring her home To feel her arms is all I yearn Her love is all I want to feel With kisses, hugs and so much more And after what appears to be an "Eternity"... as time stands still A sound of jingle, jingle Alerts my pointy ears Her sillouette is all I see Standing by the aging door With open arms to greet me warmly Her love is what I truly adore |
